Procedure:

Lab scale:

Carefully add VerdessenceTM Glucomannan into hot water (80 – 85°C). As soon as VerdessenceTM Glucomannan is well dispersed, add phase B as a premix. Add phase C for coloring the product and pour into molds for patches.

Recommended process for an up-scaling:

Add VerdessenceTM Glucomannan into cold water and stir until a homogenous gel has been formed. Then heat to 80 – 85°C.

Disperse VerdessenceTM Xanthan in Panthenol and preservative and add this mixture (phase B) to the hot gel (phase A).

Add phase C for coloring the product.

It is necessary to keep the temperature of 80°C to pour it into molds for patches.

Wait 5-10 min (depending on layer thickness) before taking the

patch out of the mold to use it.
