PROCEDURE:

  1. Heat Phase A and B separately to 75°C.
  2. Add Phase B to Phase A under homogenization until uniform. Remove from homogenization and continue mixing at medium speed. Maintain temperature at 75°C.
  3. Add Phase C in a separate vessel and heat to 60°C. Once dispersed then neutralize the carbomer.
  4. Add Phase C to main vessel (Phase A+B) with medium-fast stirring until uniform. Maintain temperature at 60-65°C.
  5. Cool to 40°C. Once homogenous begin mixing at slow speed.
  6. Add Phase D and continue mixing slowly.
  7. Adjust pH to 5.5-6.0 to increase the viscosity.
