Light and non-greasy, this Octinoxate- and Oxybenzone-free anti-sand sunscreen gel applies to wet skin without a whitening effect. SolaStay® S1 provides very rapid and efficient excited state quenching of Avobenzone, protecting it from photo-degradation and improving sunscreen performance. HallBrite® BHB provides sunscreen solvency and emolliency. In vitro testing suggests SPF ~53, PFA (PPD) ~18 performance with critical wavelength = 379 nm and over four hours of water resistance. In vivo testing in a US laboratory (5 subjects) yielded static SPF 64, with 80 minute water resistant SPF 62.

PREPARATIVE PROCEDURE
1 To a secondary vessel add phase A, start mixing, add phase B and heat to 45 – 50°C. Start cooling after phase B is dissolved totally. 2 Add phase C into phase AB and mix until uniform. 3 To the main vessel add phase D, start mixing, add phase E and continue mixing until dissolved. 4 When both phases are homogeneous, slowly add phase ABC to phase DE with proper mixing until the emulsion is fully formed. 5 Add phase F with mixing until batch is uniform, replacing any water lost to evaporation and mixing until smooth.
