Brazil Nut Oil Refined is rich in unsaturated fatty acids with nutritional and moisturizing properties to the skin. It can be applied in moisturizing lotions, bath oils, massage oils, bar soaps, liquid soaps, creams to soften hair, conditioners, shaving products and aftershave.

The Bertholletia excelsa species belonging to the Lecythidaceae family, which includes about 200 species. It is popularly known by various names: Para nut, Brazil-nut, Amazon nut, nut, castanheira, true nut, America almond and soft nut. The Brazil nut tree is one of the native species of the Amazon with a high social and economic value.

This species blooms during the months of November to February, and the fruits ripen from December to March. Its fruit, popularly known as hedgehogs, weigh between 500 and 1,500 g and contain an average 15 to 24 seeds.
