Sustainable Castor Oil – Project Pragati

Pragati is a joint initiative by BASF, Arkema, Jayant Agro and Solidaridad launched in 2016, creating the Sustainable Castor Association (SCA), the world’ first certified sustainable castor program. The initiative is focused in Gujarat, India where most of the castor crop is grown. On October 13th, 2022 the BASF Dusseldorf site was certified under the SCA Success Code. CMB stands for Castor Mass Balance.
